Planning application problems during lockdown

Ruth Juett, unitary candidate for Chess Valley highlights issues with planning consultations in her area.
Local people have already told us that the current planning process is not fit for purpose and Covid-19 has led to some issues with recent planning applications.
During the lockdown, it has been reported by some residents that planning applications are not being advertised effectively. Ruth Juett, standing for Chess Valley and St. Mary's ward on the Town Council received the following comments from a local resident:
"A planning application was submitted last year in Pednor Road. Bucks Council claim a notice was put up on the site on 30th November 2020 but no one saw it. I walk along the road almost every day and certainly did not see one. I wonder where it was put? The land is AONB and it was for a 6 metre high barn in a very prominent position.

The beauty of Pednor must be protected.
Fortunately, someone found out about it and put it on Facebook. Within a couple of days there were many objections. I have yet to meet anyone in Pednor Road who was aware of it. The local Chesham and Buckinghamshire councillors did nothing to discuss the application with residents."
