Introducing our Amersham Common West Candidates

Simon WoodheadSimon Woodhead

Simon has lived in the area for over thirty years. He is a professional engineer whose experience has ranged from the design of radio systems to the implementation of global data networks. Although born in Wales, Simon spent much of his childhood in the Middle East thus providing experience of diverse cultures. Outside work he has served as lifeboat crew, a volunteer reservist in the UK armed forces, an adult helper with a local Scout group and at one of the local GP vaccination hubs.

Paula MarzoukPaula Marzouk

Paula is married with two children and four granddaughters and has lived in Hyde Heath for 21 years. Paula studied Medical Laboratory Sciences at Leicester Polytechnic and has been co-director of a Medical Diagnostics company since 1998. Having lived in France on two separate occasions, Paula has a strong interest in maintaining our European ties. She is keen to see a more democratically diverse Unitary Council with more women on board, greater protection of the Green Belt and more effective environmental policies.

Cat PearceCat Pearce

Cathryn has lived in Amersham since 2000 and is married with two teenage children. She is a D irector of a consultancy that explores the future of work and helps businesses transition to new ways of working, Cat has enjoyed a successful career in workforce planning, understanding in depth just how important access to good work is for a healthy and thriving society. Outside of work, she is keenly committed to environmental sustainability and reducing carbon emissions. She believes these combined interests will add great benefit to the longer-term resilience of the Amersham community at large.
