Introducing our Amersham on the Hill Candidates

Jane BarnesJane Barnes

Jane joined the Liberal Democrats in 2019. She lives locally, both her children attended local schools. Jane has previously worked as a registered nurse. She is now active within the community, most particularly volunteering with older people both within Care Homes and in the wider community. Jane is keen to ensure that Amersham is a vibrant town and is active within the local Amersham Action Group and with the Amersham Business Group. Both of these aim to encourage a thriving community, including ensuring the success of local shops and businesses. Jane is also a Unitary Candidate for Penn Wood and Old Amersham.

Jason Keeler HeadJason Keeler

Jason Keeler has a degree in Economics, lives in Amersham and is currently Director of Swimming for Amersham & Chesham clubs, managing their finances, performance, programme & coaching structure. Jason said 'I am passionate about housing and opportunities for young people as well as local green projects. If I am elected, I will work hard to achieve my pledges'. Howard Maitland JonesHoward Maitland Jones

Howard has lived in Amersham with his family for over 40 years. He is a former councillor on the town council, serving as mayor in 2006/7. He wants the council to focus on regenerating the local economy and protecting itself against the damage of HS2 works over the next several years. Howard is also a Unitary Candidate for Little Chalfont and Amersham Common.

Dominic Pinkney HeadDominic Pinkney

Amersham resident Dominic is the Chief Executive of two charities and a social enterprise working to increase and develop volunteering and community participation, from large corporations to local volunteering. The charities he leads have been busy helping mobilise and coordinate volunteers to help those affected by Covid-19, including support for the vaccination programme. He passionately believes that communities are made stronger through volunteering efforts. Dominic is also a Unitary Candidate for Amersham & Chesham Bois. Mark RobertsMark Roberts

Mark Roberts is 57 years old and has lived in the Chilterns for most of his life and in Amersham for 15 years. Mark has worked as a management consultant leading projects for major corporate businesses and public services, most recently managing the impact on employees of working from home due to coronavirus. Mark is a keen photographer and enjoys the ample opportunities available for that in our area. Through his church activities over many years he has actively supported projects to help those in need.
