Introducing our Asheridge Vale Candidates for Chesham Town Council

MoMohammad Fayyaz

Mohammad Fayyaz is a community activist, a long-standing Chesham Town Councillor for Asheridge Vale and has twice been Mayor of Chesham. He has dedicated himself to getting things done to improve our town and community and is often seen around Chesham clearing weeds, picking up litter, planting new flowers and reporting anything that needs to be fixed to the relevant authority. He is the chairman of both Asheridge Vale and Lowndes Community Association, and Chesham in Bloom. Mohammad is also standing as a Unitary Candidate for Chiltern Ridges.

Paul HardingPaul Harding

Paul grew up in Buckinghamshire and has lived in Chesham for four years. He continues to be involved in Chesham's community response to the pandemic through the Chesham Help for Coronavirus Help Group and is a passionate supporter of local sustainability and environmental projects. He currently runs Cambridge Global Conversations, an outreach project based at Jesus College. Paul spent 13 years in Beijing, China, where he co-founded an online learning platform and database that grew to become China's largest platform for creative tech skills training. Introducing our Lowndes Candidates for Chesham Town Council

Alan BaconAlan Bacon

Alan has represented Lowndes ward on Chesham Town Council since 1991 and has been Mayor of Chesham. He was a councillor for Asheridge Vale and Lowndes on Chiltern District Council and is now on the new Buckinghamshire Council representing Chiltern Ridges. He is the shadow portfolio holder for Health and Adult Social Care on the new council and is taking a keen interest in the local handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Michelle CMichelle Christensen

Michelle has degrees in law and history and is a language teacher. She has lived in Chesham for 22 years and become increasingly involved in local issues over the years. Michelle is well versed in green economics and keen to develop green jobs in the Chilterns.
